Even though it is growing, it is still small enough that you get to know quite a lot of people in Conway and the surrounding towns.

We hope it continues to grow and bring more businesses to Faulkner County.

Favorite thing about living in Central Arkansas?
There are so many things to do — Beaverfork Lake, Conway city parks, Lake Conway, walking trails, great shows at UCA’s Reynolds Performance Hall and the movie theater. There’s always something happening!
What’s on your Central Arkansas bucket list?
When I retire, I would love to visit and volunteer in nursing homes. When my mom was temporarily there, I noticed so many residents didn’t have visitors.
What new development or addition in Central Arkansas have you enjoyed most?
We’ve enjoyed all the new shopping areas.
What do you enjoy most about your part of Central Arkansas?
We enjoy living in the quiet countryside.
How did you end up living in Central Arkansas?
Rex played baseball at UCA, and Debby grew up in Vilonia. We worked at our insurance company in Conway, later retired, and eventually began working at Ott Insurance.
How would you describe Central Arkansas to someone who just moved here?
There’s lots to do, plenty of great places to eat, and very friendly people!
What’s one thing a newcomer to Central Arkansas should know?
There are lots of roundabouts — and we love them now!
How are you involved in the Central Arkansas community?
Working at Ott Insurance allows us to attend many different events through the Chamber of Commerce, and we enjoy going to sporting events as well.
Where do your kids go to school, and why is your family proud to be part of that community?
Our kids went to school in Vilonia, and our grandkids attend Greenbrier and Vilonia — “friendly rivals” in sports, which makes for some interesting game days!
When family or friends come to visit, what is a must-do activity in Central Arkansas?
The guys like to play golf, while the girls enjoy shopping all around Conway — malls, flea markets, downtown and more.
Where do you work, and how does your job contribute to the Central Arkansas community?
We both work at Ott Insurance. Ott is a member of the Conway, Greenbrier, and Vilonia chambers, and our office always works to stay involved by participating in events, committees, meetings, and community activities.
