Downtown Conway Bucket List

Downtown Conway encompasses the heart of local business and community. Our downtown area is rich with opportunities to explore, make memories, and try new things. We composed this Downtown Conway Bucket List to help you get the most out of your Downtown Conway experience and see some of the best that our beautiful and cozy town has to offer. 

1. Take a picture in front of one of the many murals downtown 

Downtown Conway is full of beautiful murals that serve as the perfect background to a photoshoot, either solo or with friends. Capture date nights, graduation parties, prom, or just a nice outfit on a good day in front of one of the many murals created by local artists like Jessica Jones.

2. Meet with a friend at a coffee shop

We have two phenomenal coffee shops downtown, Blue Sail and Zeteo. Both provide perfect atmospheres to sit back and enjoy coffee and a snack while chatting with a friend.

3. Enjoy Live Music at Kings Live Music

A memorable night of entertainment is what awaits you at Kings Live Music in Downtown Conway. This beloved venue provides the perfect atmosphere to sit back, relax, and enjoy a show. Bring your friends, family, or coworkers to Kings Live Music every Wednesday through Saturday to enjoy food, drinks, and live music. Kings regularly brings in talented local bands and musicians that give great performances. Check their website https://www.kingslivemusic.com/music to stay updated on their lineups.

4. Watch a sunset downtown.

Downtown is one of the best places to view a sunset in Conway. Catching the beautiful colors of the sky in the evenings is a must-see.

5. Discover a new shop.

There’s a variety of neat shops in Downtown Conway waiting to be discovered! Venture inside a shop you’ve never been inside of before and you’ll likely be delighted at the gem you’ve found. Try out an antique store, a boutique, or a new lunch spot you’ve never been to.

6. Attend the Downtown Conway Farmers’ and Crafts Market.

The market is open May-October on Saturdays, from 8 a.m. to noon. The farmers and craft-makers offer a variety of vegetables, baked goods, honey, meat, eggs, and handmade crafts such as jewelry. It’s a wonderful way to buy fresh food and personally get to know the people who grew it!

7. Take your dog for a walk.

There’s ample sidewalk space to take your four-legged best friend for a stroll through Downtown Conway. Many of the shops downtown are pet friendly and some even place water bowls out front. Take your pet over to the Neighborhood Pet Shoppe for a new toy or some dog friendly ice cream.

8. Try fudge from Baker Drug.

One of the oldest businesses in Downtown Conway, Baker Drug has been operating since the late ’70s. They’ve built a reputation as a locally-owned pharmacy with personable and friendly service, and they also happen to have the best fudge in town. Their famous homemade fudge is an experience you have to add to your Downtown Conway Bucket List. They make a variety of flavors fresh daily, so go in and find which flavor is your favorite!

9. Start a conversation with a local store owner or employee.

Next time you’re in a shop downtown, strike up a conversation with one of the store owners or employees on shift to find out more about their local business and their part in the community. It’s a great way to connect with the people you’re supporting when you shop local and also to make new friends.

10. Listen to the Conway Symphony Orchestra at Simon Park.

11. Attend Toad Suck Daze

Toad Suck Daze is a family-friendly festival that has fun for all ages. It’s usually a weekend of fun and festivities in Downtown Conway. Activities include concerts, carnival rides, local vendors, toad races, and all the fried food you could ask for. Admission is free too. Toad Suck Daze usually takes place in May of every year. 12. See the spring flowers.

Every year when spring-time comes around, the lamp posts throughout Downtown Conway are decorated with the most beautiful hanging flower pots. The bright pink flowers are the perfect touch to bring downtown to life when the weather gets warm.

13. Visit Downtown Conway during Christmas time.

Christmas time is filled with events for Downtown Conway. Every year we celebrate a town Christmas tree lighting that’s accompanied by a Ferris Wheel and funnel cakes. The annual Christmas parade also takes place downtown and many shops stay open later and host specials for Christmas shopping.
