#ConwayToGo: Crisis creates an online community of customers

Restaurants were among the first-hit and most visible economic casualties of the COVID-19 pandemic. This led to an awareness among loyal customers and a desire to help. In March, the Conway Convention and Visitors Bureau launched the #ConwayToGo group on Facebook. Since then, membership has grown to more than 10,000 individuals throughout the region.

Mayor Bart Castleberry has issued two executive orders that suspend certain zoning and ordinance restrictions on Conway’s eating establishments, hotels, and motels. By easing zoning restrictions, Conway citizens have alternative opportunities to purchase food, cleaning supplies, and other items from eating establishments and hotels during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Educational exhibits to have temporary home in downtown Conway

Two educational exhibits from the Discovery Network, a statewide program of the Museum of Discovery, will have a temporary home in downtown Conway. "Science & Art" and "Mystery of the Mayan Medallion" have been featured in some of the top children’s museums around the country. This spring, the exhibits will occupy 5,000 square feet at 1101 Oak Street from Monday, Feb. 18, until Sunday, May 5.

Rogers Plaza to serve as attractive new entrance to downtown Conway
