Trenie Thrower-Stanley aims to change lives one sip at a time
“I tell people if I never get another chance to stand behind a counter and serve a shake or tea, this journey still would have been worth it.”
After successfully shedding nine pounds in three weeks by using Herbalife® products – during the holiday season to boot – Trenie Thrower-Stanley decided she wanted to help others facing a similar struggle to lose weight and keep it off. She had been a yo-yo dieter for years and was happy to find something that worked for her. Motivated by a desire for others to experience similar success, Trenie explored how to get involved with Herbalife®.
“I found out the company allowed people to create nutrition clubs, so I created my first club in 2016,” Trenie said.
Her first nutrition club closed in 2019, but in 2020, she reopened in partnership with a fitness lounge, located at 500 Amity Road. The Fix: Nutrition & Fitness Lounge was born.
“We host workouts and serve healthy shakes and teas.”
Trenie recommends the shakes for someone looking for a nutritious, weight management product.
“Our shakes come in a variety of delicious flavors and are full of nutrients. They contain protein and all the vitamins and minerals your body needs. Sometimes our busy lives prevent us from preparing a balanced meal complete with protein and fruits and vegetables. That’s where our shakes come in.”
The Fix also offers refreshing teas that are less filling than the shakes.
“Our teas are packed with vitamin C, all the B vitamins, and caffeine for a boost of energy. It’s a good option for someone who has already had lunch.”
During her 5 ½ years in business, Trenie says she is grateful for the outpouring of support from people in Conway. She eventually hopes to open more clubs, including one on Hogan Lane.
“Conway has been so good to me! The people are friendly, loving, and supportive. I tell people if I never get another chance to stand behind a counter and serve a shake or tea, this journey still has been worth it. People here spread the word and genuinely want to see you do well. If you deliver great customer service, your customers really, really support you.”
The Conway Convention & Visitors Bureau is celebrating the inaugural Conway Black Restaurant Week during the last week of Black History Month. From February 21-27, 2021, the Conway CVB will bring attention to Conway’s Black-owned restaurants and introduce you to some of the people behind them.
