Congratulations to the six administrative professionals who were recognized at the Conway Area Chamber of Commerce’s third annual Administrative Professionals Awards. Held in April during Administrative Professionals Week, the event celebrates the valued work of administrative professionals and recognizes individuals in the Conway area who keep their offices running smoothly. Kimberly-Clark Corporation and Klaasmeyer Construction were platinum sponsors for this year’s event.

These six Outstanding Administrative Professionals were honored at a breakfast hosted by the University of Central Arkansas’s Brewer-Hegeman Conference Center:
Rhea Lana’s Franchise Systems, Inc.
Kim Burbank is the executive assistant for Rhea Lana’s Franchise Systems, Inc. and has been with the company for over 15 years. First as a customer, then consigner, Kim has been involved with her company for the past 20 years and now assists new franchisees across the nation and helps facilitate their flagship events in central Arkansas. In her spare time, Kim enjoys working with her husband for the children’s ministry at their church, volunteering with Operation Christmas Child, and assisting with her son’s high school tennis program.
Petit Jean Meats, Morrilton Packing
Sonya Chadek is the administrative assistant to the CEO of Petit Jean Meats, Morrilton Packing. Following in the footsteps of her father and uncles who each worked for Petit Jean Meats for 40 years, Sonya has spent nearly the past 15 years with the company, where she works to implement systems for streamlining payments and manages accounting, marketing, inventory, and online sales. Outside of work, Sonya volunteers with the Sacred Heart School Bazaar and is a sustaining member of the Greater Federation of Women’s Clubs Century League of Morrilton.
American Management Corporation
Martina Hoelzeman is the administrative assistant for American Management Corporation where she has worked for over 20 years. Taking pride in the family atmosphere, Martina tends to the day-to-day office workflow, assists senior management throughout the growth of AMC, and manages surplus lines tax filings for the company. Outside of the office, Martina enjoys visiting flea markets with friends, volunteering at the Knights of Columbus fish fries, co-chairing the St. Joseph’s HOOKS Silent Auction, and working at the St. Joseph Bazaar.
Imagination Station & On-Track Therapy
Jenny Kemper is the patient care coordinator and office manager for Imagination Station & On-Track Therapy. Working for a new company, Jenny is cheerfully willing to wear many hats. Responsible for managing office administration and coordinating schedules, Jenny also prides herself on forming relationships with families who utilize their facility and having the privilege to work at a place she loves to go to every day. In her spare time, Jenny has volunteered at Arkansas Children’s Hospital, reading to students in South Conway County School District, and walking dogs for area animal shelters.
Connie Spears is the senior executive assistant for Acxiom Corporation, where she has worked for 27 years. Connie holds the responsibility of managing human resource processes, including expense reports, vacation submissions, and reporting, in addition to large-scale events for over 200 employees. She has been the face of the Audience Solution Engineering leadership team and manages a group newsletter within the office. Outside of work, Connie volunteers at the Soul Food Café and has spent time with the Tacos 4 Life MobilPack.
Stoby’s Restaurant and Renewal Ranch
Becki Young is the office manager for Stoby’s Restaurant and Renewal Ranch. New to Conway, Becki has used her 38 years of public accounting experience to maintain regulation standards and requirements for both businesses over the past three years. Juggling a multitude of duties and responsibilities, Becki takes it upon herself to gather new information and put procedures in place for the diverse population she serves. In her spare time, Becki and her husband are active members of the Four Winds Church.
The keynote speaker at the Administrative Professionals Breakfast was Charlotte Strickland, founder of Strickly Speaking and professional development and training coordinator for UCA. Charlotte has worked in higher education for 35 years, coordinating academic courses in orientation, ethics, and leadership. Through Strickly Speaking, Charlotte has addressed audiences at college campuses, churches, civic groups, government agencies, and corporations.
