80-bed behavioral health facility to employ 150
CONWAY, Ark. (Oct. 6, 2016) – Acadia Healthcare (NASDAQ:ACHC) today broke ground on a new behavioral health hospital in Conway, Arkansas. The 80-bed, freestanding inpatient behavioral health facility will employ approximately 150 and will open in the fourth quarter of 2017. The 65,000-square-foot facility will cost approximately $24 million.
“Today we break ground on a state-of-the-art health care facility that will immediately fill a need for behavioral health care closer to home,” said Acadia Division President Richard Clark. “Conway has great health care providers and we’re excited about partnering with them to serve surrounding counties.”
Conway Mayor Tab Townsell said that the groundbreaking was further evidence of Conway’s growing regional influence: “Today’s groundbreaking is the latest in a trend of high-profile projects that further demonstrates Conway as a regional destination for health care,” he said. “This facility will bring quality jobs to our economy and an increased quality of life to its patients and their loved ones.”
